Greggs advertisement idea
My idea for this ad is to have a short scene involving a "hot" girl and a man. The location for this idea is in the Greggs shop where the girl is sat next to a round table. The product being promoted is a Greggs pasty so more people are persuaded to shop at Greggs. The girl is happy and she is really enjoying her pasty. The man walks into the shop and it appears that the man is staring at the girl as he is attracted to her. As he gets closer to her it looks like he is about to talk to the girl and maybe ask her out but instead he snatches the pasty out of the girls hand and walks off as he is actually attracted to the pasty and not the girl.
Many camera angles and techniques can be used to emphasise the pasty and make it look really good. Camera can be zoomed in on the girls face as she bites the pasty and it can also be in slow motion as she takes a bite. When the man walks in a close up shot of his face is taken as his eyes open up wide when looking at the girl. A wide shot can be used as the man approaches the girl. This is because the surroundings of the place will be visible and in the background, the Greggs logo can be shown behind the girl to further promote the brand as well as the product. When the man snatches the pasty quick camera shots can be taken to show how much he wants the pasty instead of the girl.
The overall concept for this idea is to show that the pasty is much more attractive than the girl. At first it seems like the man is attracted to the girl but in fact he notices that the pasty looks delicious and he would rather eat the pasty instead of communicating with the girl. The target audience is for anyone who likes food and pasties and they will be interested in this.
